Some Recent Pictures

Hi friends,

Just thought we'd share a few pics of our impending bundle of joy with you that we recently had taken by the wonderful and talented Marisa Guzman-Aloia.  Please go check out her website!

As you can see, we are, respectively: hopefully, conscientiously, deliriously, laughingly, and lovingly awaiting our little family member.

Thank you for your love and support during this special time.

Checking In

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to quickly check in and let you know that, like listed below, we had to convert our blog to this new address, so please re-set your RSS feeds for http://blog.theendlessband.com/feeds/posts/default.

In case anyone missed the news, we are about 7 weeks away from welcoming a baby into our lives, and things have been extremely hectic around here!  David has been mixing sound for a film, and that has been a huge project to take on right now.  I wanted to let you all know that we are still working on songs that will hopefully find their way to a new EP that we anticipate releasing by the end of the year.  Wish us luck, as this is a huge change in our lives coming up, as you might imagine.

I'm finding it to be a very different process to write music right now while pregnant.  My brain isn't working in the same way it usually does when it comes to poetry and metaphor.  Things are more direct, simple, to the point.  I feel like I'm parallel processing, creating mentally and physically at the same time.  I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from the lectures of Joseph Campbell, directions on old maps, and what lies at the bottom of the ocean.  Here be monsters.

Thank you for your patience during this time and we can't wait to share our experiences and music with you soon.  There is so much music in us that wants to get out, it's just finding the right time to help it into the world.

Writing Again

Hello everyone,

We are working on a new EP! Some of you may know that we are expecting a baby in early June (...whaah?  Yes). Because of this, we know that this coming year is going to be pretty nutty. With that in mind, we hope to get much of a new EP written and (hopefully mostly) recorded before the baby comes, with the goal of getting it released by fall/winter.

It may be flat-out madness to think we can do it, but we are so excited to give it a go.  We already have sketches for five songs and probably more in our souls, so we'll see what comes out.

These are pictures from a storm this week here in LA.  It's pretty rare to see such a lovely sight here.  Growing up in New Mexico, we had rainbows and thunderstorms a-plenty, but here it is a rare treat.

Inspiration comes by a different road for us on every album.  We have our ears perked and are listening intently for clues.  "I hear you singing in the wires..."

We'll be sharing the journey of writing this little bundle of love here on the blog and on our Twitter page.  Thank you for coming along, once again.

A big thank you those of you who purchased our music for the Haiti earthquake relief drive.  We will tabulate and get that money donated as soon as we have the final info from CDBaby.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Hi Friends,

We just wanted to let you know that we are partnering with CDBaby for the next two weeks to donate money to earthquake relief in Haiti.  On our side of things, 100% of our profits on CD sales and digital downloads will be given to UNICEF (we even have a corporate sponsor who will match all of our donations so they will be doubled).  On CDBaby's side, they are donating $1 from every CD sale to the American Red Cross and Mercy Corps

It should be noted that every CD at CDBaby (and digital downloads over $8.99) for the next two weeks will have the $1 donation promotion, so now is a good time to get some great new indie music like Jane Siberry's latest album or the new release from Trespassers William, to name a few.  We know you have probably already given in different ways, but this is just another option out there that could help.

To find our music at CDBaby, just go here: the Endless on CDBaby.

Thanks,
Adriana and David

The 2009 Holiday Single - Muppety Music

Friends, we are excited to share with you our 2009 Holiday Single!  Go here to download the songs and see a short message from us.  Be sure to watch the video to hear a special announcement from us about the coming year.

To fill you in, every year we record a couple of songs just for fun, to thank you for being our fans.  This year, we decided to do a few Muppet songs, so we went with "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon" from Sesame Street and "Saying Goodbye" from The Muppets Take Manhattan.  Both songs are written by the incomparable Jeff Moss.

Fun Fact: "Saying Goodbye" marks the first Endless song with David sharing lead vocal duty.  We got pretty silly and it turned into a Piaf-tinged French chanson.  Very fun.

We wish you wonderful holidays and thank you again for your support.
